A wholesome best bitter designed to be true to this iconic beer style, with only a few respectful tweaks. Expect biscuit and caramel flavours from our malts, balanced by English hops with grassy, herbal and citrus notes and refreshing bitterness. Everything is lifted by just a touch of Cascade in the dry-hop. Pour hard, pour fast.

Light amber pour, dark amber in the glass, clear; dense, slow rising carbonation; thick, long-lasting head, bone white, dense. Malty nose, earthy and light sweet; honey; very delicate floral note. Muted yet complex flavors; biscuit-like malt; light toffee; very subtle diacetyl note; grassy; moderate overall hop bitterness. Medium body; soft velvet feel on the palate; richly smooth.
What a pleasant beer to imbibe. Well-rounded, nuanced flavors and a phenomenal appearance.

Loved everything about this brew! Even though it's billed as a "modern best bitter" with a few tweaks, it is so on point. Look, aroma, foam, taste - all are 5 stars in my book. Definitely recommend!

Had it on draught at Siren's pub/restaurant - the George and Dragon at Swallowfield. Well kept, but overall, a fairly unimpressive bitter. I was expecting something with a bit more of a Siren twist to it, but disappointingly it's not very hoppy, not very malty, and simply doesn't stand out from the bunch at all. Sorry to say, but it's just meh.

Canned in a big old tallboy crafty craft can and a hard pour that was delivered by Thirst Class
Pours a very slightly hazy amber body with obviously thick white head
Aroma is sweet barley and spiky yeasty notes
Flavour is just that aroma

440ml can.
L: Light haze, copper colour and two fingers of off-white, cream head. Looks very pretty.
S: Toffee.
T: Caramel and black tea. Delicate malt base with leafy English hops (not overdone). Bitterness is on the light side for the style.
F: Medium/light body, very smooth and dry in the finish.
O: A very respectable pint of Best. I’d drink this on draught, no problem. It’s fresh and floral but still distinctly a bitter. Doesn’t stray into golden ale territory and the addition of Cascade isn’t overdone. American breweries struggle to brew an acceptable ale below 5.5%. At just 3.8%, this ale explains how Brits drink beer in rounds without falling over.

Dec 2023 - Found it on draught. It’s very good. A little more tannic but extra smooth and looks gorgeous.
