Copenhagen 20/6 2023. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Abstract paint smears in dark purple and green on the can.
Pours opaque dark brown with big beige head. Stable. Settles as 3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a dark roasted odor mingling with a fruity, citric scent. Dark roasted malts, toffee and whiff of brown sugar. Grapefruit and lemon. Stint of sharp citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with strong sweetness followed by medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Reminds me more of a Black IPA than a Porter. But pretty delightful.
