On tap at the Brewpub.
The appearance was a fairly thick black color with a small cap of a little white foamy head. Softly slid off to barely leave any lace.
The aroma had a really nice blend of roasted coffee bean, malted chocolates, sugared dark fruits and ending with a touch of dark chocolate.
The flavor wanted to lean sweet but had a nice roasty balance coming forth as it warmed. Slight aftertaste of roasty coffee and malted milk chocolate balls.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it - good for a porter. Carbonation felt right. ABV felt on par.
Overall, works for me as an American porter and then some. Would definitely bang again!
