I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery.
Appearance: dark brown hue with no haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop. Quite good.
Smell: malty with a nutty, caramelly character with a dash of toffee as well.
Taste: much like the aroma; caramel, toffee and a bit of roast. It reminds me of a porter, really; not bad.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good, well-integrated carbonation and a good creaminess. Good stuff!
Overall: it's not overly Belgian-y, but it is a tasty beer. Go in thinking "porter", not "Belgian", and you won't be disappointed.
