A rustic pilsner (I know!) made with Mecca Grade's Pelton malt. The “full pint” pedigree of its genetics lend a much fuller grain character. We made it higher ABV and added a whisper of smoke to it, barely perceivable. Perfect fall drinking.

Beautiful pale yellow body; fine carbonation; thick and frothy with head, dense and creamy. Mild aroma; a touch of cracker; slightly floral hop scent. Outstanding malted grain base notes; cereal grains; bold herbal hop flavor; very modest touch of smokiness noted on the back-end. Medium body; crisp; dull sweetness; finishes on the dry side of things.
A fine, tasty lager.

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high frothy bright white head that left a small patch of bubbles on the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of pilsener malts are present in the nose along with hints of smoked malts.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the flavors of smoked malts are a touch stronger. No hops are detectable, but there are enough of them to mask any sweetness from the malts.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. There is a touch of dryness in the finish.
O: I really liked the aromas and flavors of smoked malts, which added a bit of complexity to this pilsner.
