Growler into a tulip glass.
Pours a mostly clear golden amber, with a one inch head, some soapy lacing. Smells of Belgian yeast, rye, light malt, some black pepper when warm. A little bready. The taste also leads with the Belgian yeast and rye, some spiciness, malt, a light hop bitterness. Smooth, dry, refreshing, crisp, maybe a touch light bodied for the style.
Really nice flavor and aroma. The rye is strong but not dominant, allowing it to remain true to the style. Very enjoyable to drink. Great first impression of this brewery, hope to try more from them.
