Appearance: Cloudy amber, with a light froth in my Carson’s pint glass on a pleasant Summer afternoon during Food Truck Friday at the brewery.
Aroma: Lightly hoppy. Citrusy. Subtle but maybe some of the nose was overtaken by the wood-fired pizza oven some steps away, so no points docked here.
Taste: Sharp and dry, and nicely hoppy with lots of grapefruit and orange notes. Slightly bitter at the finish, this American Pale Ale holds itself sturdily near the “IPA” category, as the malts take a definite back seat to hops. Tasty and enjoyable, and one I’d surely get again!
