Appearance: Pitch black in Carson’s glassware at the brewpub.
Aroma: Straight ahead licorice. Anise and spicy all the way. True to the flavor, already!
Taste: Potent anise here. Strong, overloaded licorice taste and a big 10+% ABV that comes around, too. If you love the stuff like the Scandinavians do (Iceland adores licorice more than chocolate it seems), this brew is a must-try. Me? Glad to have tried but not a huge fan.
