Appearance: Deep copper with a nice beige head. No lace.
Aroma: Malty, toffee and caramel spiced.
Taste: Malty and earthy here, with caramel and toffee dominating. There’s a chewy spiciness here, as well. A pretty traditional Irish red ale that drinks, to me, a lot like a Scotch ale. Solid interpretation, but not one I’d revisit.
