Could only do a brief tasting of the original Evil Donut collaboration with Evansville’s famed Donut Bank. Got to give this second version an in-depth try, though.
Appearance: Clean amber, with a nice off-white head of soft suds and light lace.
Aroma: Glazed donuts all the way. Right on approximation of classic Donut Bank yeasty glazed greatness. Great intro.
Taste: Sweet and malty for sure. Smooth body with a hint of glazing sugar. Like a twisted golden ale, really with a touch of donut sweetness. Not a bad beer, and definitely worth a try.
