11oz draft pour at the brewery served in a snifter cold. The beer pours dense black with minimal light brown head. The head recedes to a thin ring and island of tiny bubbles. The aroma is nice soft barrel with vanilla and bourbon. The taste is semisweet chocolate and bourbon, vanilla, slight coffee, roasted malt ashiness. Moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a dry finish. Slight ethanol on the finish. Overall, pretty good. A few rough edges, but overall tasty.
