It's the most wonderful time of the year- OKTOBERFEST SEASON. This golden beer will make you cry tears of joy instead of whatever 2020 is making you cry about right now. It's one hell of a beautiful beer.

Draft served very cold in a shaker pint glass at Gerst Haus Evansville. The beer pours a light copper amber in color with khaki head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. The aroma is minimal with hint of malt. The taste is really sweet American caramel malt up front with strong diacetyl on the finish. Minimal bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and an undry finish. Overall, poor. This is a local. They have not done a lager over their 10ish years in business and this beer is proof they shouldn't. It's a $3 pint special and I may not finish it. I suspect an ale yeast.
