Kanu pours a bronze color, with a big, lacing head. Big floral, hoppy aroma. Flavor is pretty sweet, with a nice floral flavor, and then a sweet finish. Good body and feel. Overall, nice flavors, big flavors, pretty sweet though.

Pours a fairly clear straw yellow with a huge white head that recedes slowly and leaves generous lacing. Aroma is citrus fruits. Flavor is citrusy with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Feel is watery and under carbonated. Overall I was hoping for more, but it's okay for a "session" pale ale.

Pours a clear golden color. Smell had citrus notes with malt. Taste was light with a nice citrus hop finish. Full flavored with a light body session APA.

On tap at the brewery.

White head. Clear golden color.

Light in bodied but pretty big flavor for a session. Grassy and earthy. Citrus fruit. Clean. Light bitterness. Solid.

Poured from growler into shaker pint glass.
A: Pours a clear yellow hue with a 1 inch frothy white head with decent retention. Decent lacing too.
S: Nice clean pine and citrus hop aroma. Dry cracker malt. Straightforward, but strong notes.
T: Again, nice strong and clean pine and citrus (orange and grapefruit). Dry cracker malt in the background. Not complex, but very well done.
M: Light body. Perfect mild-moderate sweetness and bitterness. Nice lingering on the palate.
D: Excellent for style. Wonderfully sessionable pale ale. Well done, Bent Paddle!

Pours a clear golden color with a thin head that leaves good lacing. Smells faintly hoppy and citrusy, with a bit of grapefruit as well, but it's hard to detect. Very muted. The head dissipated quickly enough that the smell began to fade. Taste is pretty lacking--a slight hop profile brings in some bitterness, some orange and grapefruit with a solid malt sweetness. It finishes dry with a hint of citrus, but it's primarily hops, and not as much as I'd like. Mouthfeel is light to medium with just the right amount of carbonation. It's refreshing and very drinkable, but the flavor is somewhat lacking. Not the best session ale. Shame it's only in 12-packs, since a 4 or 6-pack would make me buy it much more often.

A nice deep golden beer with a one finger white head that leaves specks of lacing behind. The aroma is bright citrus, lemon and a malty sweetness. The taste is sweet malt, lemon zest, crackers and a bitter pine finish. This is a really fine tasting session IPA.

This beer pours a clear pale gold with a smallish head. The aroma starts with cracker malts, as well as lemon peel, light pine, and resin. The flavor is fairly soft rather than crisp, with notes of lemon, honey, pine, resin, and a strong wheat cracker finish. The mouthfeel is not full, but as a mild richness to it, probably because of the strong malt presence, with soft carbonation. Overall it is a decent beer, but lacks the vibrancy that can really make a pale shine, or the joyous simplicicty of a wall done English Pale - a bit too middle ground for me to truly appreciate.

Aroma and taste profile of grapefruit, other citrus, mango and herbal notes. Somewhat pithy, moderately bitter, very dry, extremely easy to drink. Great Session Ale.
