Brewed with a variety of European and North American malts and finished with German Noble hops. The flavor of this fall seasonal is all malts. The rich malt character both smooth and soft mixes with hints of bread & toast all wrapped in a malty sweetness. Noble hops add a very subtle malt bitterness with the hop flavor restrained and taking a back seat to the malty profile. Smooth, balanced, malty ... It beckons for fall weather.

Appearance: Poured a deep amber with two fingers of nice foamy whitish head that faded quickly, leaving a solid lacing in its path.
Aroma: Very bready up front with a good deal of sweet malt and nutty flavors, a bit of pine and earth as well. Solid.
Taste: Lots of malt, caramel, some nut flavor and hoppy overtones.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with quite a creamy texture and nice finish, enjoyable.
Overall: I was impressed with this one. One of the better oktoberfest beers I've tried in a while.
