Palate Contaminants: pasta with tomato sauce
The color is amber-brown, and it's still fairly clear in spite of the hue. Not a common color. There's lots of fine white head, along with a good bit of lacing.
The smell has tons of apples, along with the blossom of the tree. So, there's perfume, but it's not overbearing. White grapes are in there, along with cinnamon. A pleasant medium malt is present, lightly toasted, as is a little bit of caramel or brown sugar. Great intensity.
For the taste, the apple diminished, but it's at a good level because the starting point was so high. I get some combination I can best describe as cinnamon toast. Then there's light-moderate bitterness. After so much smell, not as much taste as expected.
It's very light weight, perhaps the lightest in the non-"sex in a canoe" division that I've had. While the alcohol isn't there to start, it really hits in the aftertaste. Fine carbonation, yet prickly.
