Sesiones del Migrante was founded in 2017 by Bale Breaker, Yakima Chief Hops, Cervecería de Colima, Cerveza Loba, Ronin Fermentation Project, & South Norte to celebrate the Mexican migrant workers who travel to Yakima to harvest hops for breweries across the globe. Made with 28 pounds per barrel of real mango pureé, this summer ale has low bitterness and smells like freshly-sliced mango with hints of mandarin orange. A portion of the proceeds from this beer is donated to local non-profits who support migrant farm workers.

Hazy amberish brew with adequate foam in the Brigand chalice. Sudsy and slushy in the mouth. Some fruity aroma that could be mango. This is quite dry, surprisingly, and more mineral tasting than fruity. I'm thinking pencil shavings. Rather sharp with fruit acidity with a medium bitter aftertaste. It is at least as much like an IPA as a fruit beer, so it's at least interesting in that regard. I don't care much for this, but at least it's not sugary sweet. From the 16 oz can purchased at the Co-op Market. Dated 05/05/25.

Murky. Failed to pick up much mango. Sour taste in the finish.

This beer pours a cloudy golden color with a medium to small head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is definitely mango with a little orange flavored sweetness. Taste is similar to aroma but with some piney bitterness. For a fruit flavored beer really good. So many fruit-flavored beers are weak in fruit flavor. BOD 4-16-2024

16oz can. Bottom date stamp is 'PKG ON 04/16/24'.
Cloudy, straw to pale gold colored body. Brief lasting off white head fizzes away. Leaves behind short strings of lacing.
Aroma of mango and wheat malt.
Taste follows the nose with flavors of mango and orange fruit and wheat malt. Has a certain tanginess and sour touch, but also has a sweet note. Quick let up in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel. Drying in the mouth. Good carbonation.
Summer drinking quencher that seems fresh even with six months in the can before pouring.

16oz can pours out like a hazy NE-style IPA; fluffy orange with a turbid body and good carbonation with a white head. The nose has a nice mango element to it, fruity and citrusy, while the malt base seems a bit spicy and bready, tastes like there is wheat in here too but I could be wrong. Touch of earthy bitterness and good dryness on the finish, a nice take on a fruited summer ale, nothing special but quite quaffable.
