Draft pour at Republic Pi for $7.
Crystal clear golden amber, with a big, sudsy, and sticky eggshell-white head. Lots of lace.
Big, grapefruity hop nose reminiscent of a WCIPA. There's a little bit of tropical fruit scent as well.
Up front, it tastes just as advertised. Moderately bitter, grapefruit-esque flavor up front, with a teensy bit of tropical, mango-like flavor as well in the background. But things don't develop much from there to the finish, which is lightly dry and a little bit crisp for an IPA.
Medium bodied, with an oily, resiny mouth feel.
This is so close to being something I'd really be into. On this 102° day, it actually stands out more for sheer drinkability than many IPAs might. Still, the description led me to expect more going on, hop flavor wise.

Pint on tap at the Pumphouse in Bellevue. Served in a mug.
Pours a mostly clear light amber, small head, leaving a wispy layer flouncing on the top, with a little bit heartier ring clinging to the edge. Smell is quite nice, clear hop resin, some general citrus and a little floral, maybe some honeysuckle.
Taste is on the bright and floral side of the WCIPA spectrum, clearly dry and bitter, but plenty of citrus and floral stuff going on. If you wait for it, there's a non-trivial bitter kick at the end, but it's still more of an afterthought.
Mouthfeel is light and quite dry. Overall, it's a pretty good IPA, but I really want more bitterness.
