I got a can of this beer from the brewery and drank it whilst on the ferry from Tsawwessen to Nanaimo. It poured a hazy golden with white head that left some lace. The scent had tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet malt base with subtle dank tropical fruit and pineapple presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Slight haze on the pale amber brew with plenty of foam in the Chimay chalice. Pleasant sudsy mouthfeel but quite acidic. Light citrus aroma. Distinct taste of orange with grapefruit pith. Not very sweet but rather malty tasting. I think this is more traditional IPA than hazy, but it does have a lot of astringency if not actual murk. Finally, in the aftertaste, it's quite bitter. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Not dated.

fresh and modern hazy, juicy and well refined, these guys have their hops down, and this one hits for me, a late night post hockey drink, something after a few lagers, really flavorful, dry and quick finishing for the style, really good. rather cloudy, usually at this level they dont appeal to me that much, but this has some sudsy lasting head, some visible carbonation, and no real sediment that i can see, it just doesnt let any light in, creamy without being heavy to my eyes. the hops seem southern hemisphere to me, definite white wine, clementine, fresh green grape, and almost ripe pear in the mix, some spruce and weed too though, real clean, bold yes, but also clean, no green burn, its refined well as this style goes, and there is just a tiny little something from the yeast, perhaps a thiolized strain but i doubt it, the intensity isnt quite there, but its pushing into that realm. the flavor follows, juicy and vibrant and fresh, i get why these beers are so spendy, they use the finest ingredients it seems, even right down to the base malt, this froths and heaves and carries weight and flavor together, yet feels pillowy and easy too. the hops have light stone fruit, some kiwi, mango, and coconut, and almost seems oaky. there is very little bitterness, its clean on the ferment but the hops are also enhanced by it, which is part of what makes this subtly amazing, and it drinks almost too fast for how it looks like it will go. i love the hops, maybe galaxy because there is some lime leaf aromatic to this, maybe nelson because it drips white wine, maybe ella or something because there is white tea and back end herbal tones when it sits a second. whatever the hops are, captain ron slaps! dope label too.

12oz can served in a footed pilsner glass. Dated 07/26/22.

Pours hazy whitish-orange with a big head, like three fingers or so, that collapses slowly and leaves thick clumpy lacing. Smell is mildly resinous, fruit skin and citrus pith, a little bit of pineapple.

Taste is kind of similar, leaning a bit more toward pith and fruit skin and away from juice.

Mouthfeel is dry and slightly chalky. Overall, it's not bad.
