Kernza® is described as a deeply-rooted regenerative perennial grain that has the potential to transform the brewing industry. It stabilizes soil, requires minimal tilling, increases soil organic matter, and improves soil structure and water-holding capacity. The hop bill for Aslan’s Kernza Lager includes Chinook and Pekko hops. The grain bill includes Pilsner malt as well as the Kernza® grain.
