On tap at brewery into pint glass. Pours clear deep ruby red/brown color with a small dense light khaki head with good retention and spotty lacing on the glass. Smells like English yeast. Aromas and flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread/crust, toast, toffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, roasted nuts, wood, pepper, pine, herbal, floral, grass, yeast earthiness. Light to medium pine, herbal, woody bitter finish. Medium carb and body. Balanced creamy bready malts and sticky hop mouthfeel. Lingering sticky hop drying with no acrid/astringent flavors. Very rich malt complexity and balanced noble hops. Top tier English brown ale style.

M - Big medium body with gentle carbonation.

O - This is a really nice brown ale.

Pours a mostly clear brown color with a light tan head head, spot on for a brown ale. The nose is rife with toffee and caramel notes, again, spot on for the style.

The toffee is forward on the taste and absolutely delicious, with the caramel flavor following, providing a smooth finish. The mouthfeel is fairly bright, with a bit of creaminess as well.

I don’t get the opportunity to enjoy many brown ales, so I’m really digging this. A really nice example of the style, IMHO.

I got a crowler of this from the Daily Growler here in Powell, OH. It poured a clear rich mahogany with off white that is not leaving any lace. The scent had rich malt and yeast notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

Very nice roasted aroma, with some underlying nuttiness. The beer pours a reddish-brown with a thin, tight cap of light tan head. Rich roasted flavor, with a touch of toffee and nuts. The oats really help provide a full, rich mouthfeel. The beer finishes with a mild roasted finish. Overall, this is a fantastic Brown Ale.

No canning date shown.

Pours a brownish amber with a good two fingers of lasting, off-white head.

Aromas of balanced, toasty malts that allow for lighter notes of wood chips, caramel, toffee, and bits of vanilla bean to appear; nice level of oaky char towards the end.

Taste is mild a smooth, with that nice oaky char presenting itself alongside some light chocolate and roasty malt.

Mouthfeel is clean and smooth until the finish, where a pleasant roasty bitterness leaves a subtle, lasting effect on the palate; relatively low carbonation adds to the beer's refreshing qualities.

Solid brown requiring minimal effort to drink; very sessionable without becoming too light.

On tap at the Columbus brewery taproom.
Served in a small snifter.
Opaque dark brown body with a good beige head.
Exceptionally appealing, malty aroma with a a good bit of dark chocolate in the mix.
The flavor is almost as good as the aroma. Low bitterness.
Very smooth, medium body with light carbonation.
