From the 22 oz bomber in a snifter. This most excellent hybrid saison
pours a luminous lightly chill hazed golden color with a nice head of white
big bubbled foam that settles to a thick ring and layer with very nice lacing.
Nose of lemon zest, subtle sweet candy sugar, light pine, light herbal hops,
and subtle white pepper notes. Flavors surpass the nose with a candy touched
lemon peel over a light cracker with white pepper and touches of
orange zest over medium notes of herbal hops and moderate pine
elements with white grape must on the finish. Very nice mouth feel;
medium light body, medium light carbonation that is lively and inviting,
and a lightly dry finish that is excellent.
Originally had this one on tap but purchased the bottle from the brewery
since it was not available on tap in large quantities. That said it was
excellent on tap and is excellent bottled. Worthy of the Seventh Son
moniker.
Cheers

Really underwhelming as a saison. Neither earthy nor bready. Hit none of the major saison notes. Relatively watered down. Disappointing, given the quality of the rest of their taplist today.
