Sampled back on 2/7/16. Bought a single 12-ounce bottle to try as part of the "Make your own 6" for $8.99. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a pint glass. Sediment is seen in the bottom of the bottle after the pour.
Pours a 'apple juice' in color as would be expected with some fizz and really doesn't leave any lacing per se. Aroma as well as taste is what be expected also. Tasty fruit brew if you don't want a heavy brew. Different than like a "Redd's Apple Ale". I did enjoy it.

Poured into a pint glass. It is the color of poorly stirred, instant apple juice (from the freezer section) with a one finger head that recedes instantly and does not leave lacing. Aroma of sugar and candied apple that is reminiscent of hard candy and slightly artificial chemical-ly. Taste is a sour granny smith apple and white bread. Light body and medium-light carbonation with just enough mouth feel not to be cider.
The apple taste and mouth feel seems in-genuine. Combined with the obscenely light body, it leaves an unusual taste in my mouth. Look elsewhere for apple beers if they are your jam.

I am generally Forbidden from bottles, but I am slowly winnowing down my backlog so that I may return to The CANQuest (tm).
I Pop!ped the cap since nothing else happens until then. In doing so, the scent of apples immediately wafted from the bottle! I went with an aggro pour more to create some head than to release the esters, but it is such a routine for me that I could not resist. This netted me two fingers of foamy, rocky eggshell-white head with decent retention. Color was a solid Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5) with NE-quality clarity. This called forth the Gelt Gang, MIdas, Mammon and Croesus and they had returned to the squabbling that used to be a trademark of their behavior. Grrr. I waited until they departed to lean in and get a good whiff. It had a cider-y apple sweetness, crisp and slightly tart. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was certainly of apples, but it was more muted than what the nose had led me to expect. Sure, it is an Apple Ale and not an Apple Cider, but it seemed to lack Ooomph! Finish had a definite sugary sweetness, which made it a one-and-done for me. The label mentioned Lemon Peel, but I was not getting it.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 7/2015. Pours hazy deep golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon peel, green apple, pear, light pepper, wheat, cracker, light honey, light herbal/grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of lemon/apple, pale malt, and light earthy hop/yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon peel, green apple, pear, light pepper, wheat, cracker, light honey, light herbal/grass, and yeast earthiness. Minimal herbal bitterness/yeast spiciness and slight wheat/apple tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon peel, green apple, pear, wheat, cracker, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good balance and solid robustness of lemon/apple, pale malt, and light earthy hop/yeast ester flavors; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness after the finish as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.4%. Overall this is a very solid apple shandy. All around good balance and solid robustness of lemon/apple, pale malt, and light earthy hop/yeast ester flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.

I found this different than a lot of apple "ales" we see today. This to me was not quite as sweet as some of the other common apple ales and ciders. I thought overall it was just ok. I found traveler's other products a bit better.
