Blueberry pale ale wooo. Thanks Cam for sharing.
A - Pours a hazy pale orange. A small white head forms, retention is decent.
S - Faint but decent (not fake) blueberries, some citrusy fruits, some saison-y Belgian pale thing going on. Interesting.
T - Pretty good, if unexpected, blueberry flavor. Light coriander-spice, herbal bready grassy straw tones, light sweetness, slightly tart. Base feels like a Belgian pale or a witbier, which works surprisingly well with the blueberries, and is a nice change-up from the average ho-hum wheat ale or lager you usually find in an American fruit beer.
M - Highish carbonation, decent body, easy drinking.
O - Not bad, good blueberry presence without being fake/sweet/overpowering, and it works pretty well on top of a Belgian-y base. And much better than expected, considering this brewery's infection issues. Although they might wanna put on the label somewheres that this is indeed a blueberry beer (for those of us who don't take the name 'Blue Bomber' as any sort of hint). I assumed it was a regular ol American pale and got an..authentic-blueberry witbier of sorts.

Howler Blue Bomber
A- 22oz bottle poured to a chalice and a goblet to share with a semi-hazy golden body. A white head with a foamy texture forms at two finger with good retention. Large sheets and some spots following.
S- A spicy yeast aroma responsible for most of what is coming out of the glass that reminds me of milder Saison strains with citrus and bread coming to mind. A hint of berries beyond that. Slight bit of Brett feel.
T- The base of the flavor is formed from a yeast that seems Belgian in nature with lemon peel, clove, bread, spices, pale fruits and even some stone fruits coming to mind. Brett hints of tropical fruits, cherries and straw. Berries are certainly present here, more so than in the aroma, with a light sweetness.
MF- Light bodied in nature but a consistency with foamy and slightly creamy feel. Carbonation is at a moderate level and a tiny hint of tartness caresses the palate.
Seems like Belgian yeast with aspects of Witbier and Saison with a slight bit of blueberries. Solid and balanced nicely and probably the best Howler brew I have had thus far.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a light gold color, with a large white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick but spotty lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains blueberries, spices, citrus, light caramelized malts and a touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out with sweet fruity flavors of blueberries, citrus and some spice. Then some breadiness comes in from a thin malt character and possibly some wheat. The hops presence is very mild but complementary and brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.
O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, decent representation of style, it’s a decent beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for this type of beer.
