Beautiful amber reddish color with lots of thick and eternal head leaving some heavy laces. Hard to beat it.
And this keeps getting better, delicious citrusy aroma with toffee notes.
Don’t know how André makes his hops be so effective, although it is “just” 33 IBUs, it feels much bitter. It even made me sneeze; usually I get that from at least 60 IBUs.
Sweet malty taste, quite fruity with notes of caramels, pine and grapefruits. Dry and bitter aftertaste, making you beg for another sip.
Robust body with low carbonation and tiny bubbles.
This was more fun than the usual British ESB, seemed as a US interpretation. This got to be made as a regular. Ps. I got this very fresh on the brewery.

Notes taken from February 2012. 600 ml bottle shared at Urbana, courtesy of André. On to the beer:

This ESB is burnt orange in color and topped with a solid head with a few strings of lace sticking around the glass. The aroma has a little diacetyl, some toffee, esters, and a note of orange. Really more of a hybrid between the traditional British and American interpretation of the style. Its taste is blended well, bringing the flavors of diacetyl, sweet malt, esters, and vague fruit to the table. It's medium bodied with soft carbonation. There isn't much variety of the style in Brazil, so seeing a beer like Sporro is a refreshing change.
