First had poured from 22-oz. bomber, with #721 hand-written on the label, into faceted mug. Forgot this beer in back of fridge, but still very drinkable. True to style.

Disclaimer: bought this at the double shoppe in Ocean Springs, on 3 march 2015, so it has been sitting a while since the holidays. But I digress, for a seasonal, spiced beer I smelled nothing spiced, and tasted nothing spiced. It wasn't unpalatable, it just didn't accomplish what they set out to do. I'd have to try it again nearer to the release to give a more reliable review.

Poured into a goblet on Christmas eve. Bottle #876 of 1000. Finally got a few cases up in Jackson.
A: Clear gold with a white half finger head that dissipates fast. Spotty lacing. Killer artwork on the label.
S: Lemons dominate with clove, rye and banana following close behind.
T: Follows nose. Smooth, sweet/sour. Light rye. Easy to drink. Just not much there.
M: Light to medium with low carbonation.
O: For all the hoopla, this wasn't "beyond special," as listed on their website. The artwork on the label was the best part. I'm glad I got to try it, but CL's Humpback Homebrew winner (Foreign Extra Stout) was this year's standout beer. Still worth a try at $4.59 for a bomber.

I didn't add this beer, but looks like I'm the first to review it. Poured from a brown 22 oz. bottle. Bottles are numbered, looks like I got #414. Has a light golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of rye, malts. Taste is sour, salty, malts, some rye sharpness, just a bit unusual. Feels light in the mouth and overall is a bit different, and a mediocre beer.
