Beer looks great in glass. Black with beige head.
Nice roasty aroma wafting over top. Shebeen dark ales have such a nice aroma.
Taste roasty and rich upon entry with a soft presence, but after about 15 seconds there's a sharp chalky dryness that explodes in the mouth. I thought that detracted from the overall brew.
Not bad, with the exception of that chalky mouthfeel/aftertaste.
