Today is my self-proclaimed Fourth of CANuly & I am on a CANQuest (tm) kick all day today! Interestingly, my local, in-person trader, tone 77 added this one & reviewed it. We need to do a pick-up/drop-off soon.
From the CAN: "All Football Club Lancaster Lions is a professional soccer tem based in Lancaster, PA. Lancaster Lions proudly supports its community and provides soccer opportunities to local residents. Please enjoy this crisp craft brewed European style lager responsibly and see you at the next match. Proost!"
I Crack!ed the CAN open & gave it an inverted Glug to help my holiday celebration along. I got two-plus fingers of dense, creamy, foamy, bone-white head as a result. Color was an oh-so-slightly hazy Pale-Straw (SRM = 1 - 2). Nose was clean with a lemony, biscuity smell, like Enrico's lemon biscotti from Pixburgh's Strip District. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, but with a CANforting softness on my poor, bruised tongue. Taste was a mild, clean lager, noting special. It had a lemony biscuitiness, but it was pretty unobtrusive. Finish was semi-dry. Well, if you are looking to support our locals, this is the way to do it! If you want an easy-drinking non-BMC lager, this is your beer. Otherwise, you may find yourself disappointed.

Ah, a beer brewed for the local soccer, er football team. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a bright yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, malts, some sweetness. Taste is malts, grains, some lemons are present, easy drinking. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall, it's refreshing and decent, but nothing special.
