A: cloudy; medium gold in color; 1+ finger ivory head that receded to a wispy cap; very little lacing;
S: muddled lemon, lime, and pineapple;
T: follows the nose, but gets mildly tart toward the end;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: got this from the brewery, so it should be fresh; not nearly enough aroma for a DDH beer; not sure where the tartness came from;

Excellent, if you are a fan of dry hoppy beers. Crisp with grapefruit and a hoppy, earthy taste. Very nice beer

Shebeen Brewing Company "Double Cit-Mo"
1 Pint can without production codes or freshness dating
$3.79 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a cloudy golden body beneath a finger thick head of white foam and I can see bubbles racing quickly upwards along the inside of the glass indicating that it's got some carbonation to it. The aroma expresses citrus (grapefruit, soft lime, dull orange), some citrus pith, melon, and sweetish grainy malt. The flavor follows with perhaps more hop flavor than the aroma suggests. It remains mostly the same although there's some pine to it, and more tropical fruits (mango, papaya, hint of pineapple). My initial impression, although I haven't gotten to writing it until now, was that maybe it was a little too malty but I've changed my mind on that as it's warmed up a bit and the bitterness has started to build on me. I'm thinking now that it's actually pretty nicely balanced. It is, after all, 8.8% abv. In the mouth it's medium to medium-full in body with a dextrinous feel and a softly effervescent carbonation that warms to become "airy" and smooth across the palate. Looking back the head didn't fare too well, perhaps because of its strength, or not, but the lacing was fairly good. If I disregard the cloudiness, and I will because that's the style now, it earns a 4 out of 5, and overall I think it's clocking in somewhere around there as well. Worth trying.
