So glad to discover this new brewer (since 2013), Billed as CT's 13th and only Irish brewer. Site says: "Shebeen or síbín is Irish for an unlicensed establishment or private house selling alcoholic liquor and typically regarded as slightly disreputable." Well, best year of my life I spent in Dublin so The IRISH know beer, being 6th highest consumption at 100 litres a year, vs #1 Czech at 191, vs 20th USA (before Covid) at 74.
a) Perfect dark yellow pale ale body, slightly hazed, sporting lasting and lacing head.
s) More perfumed and medicinal that most APAs (My fave style), but solid, large aroma. Slightly soapy.
t) Follows aroma, and brings a bright peppery, hoppy finish. Strong flavors for light ABV of 5.5%
f) light-mid, clean and tangy finish.
o) Belongs in a taste off vs any 5-6% APA.
Found WFM Red Bank NJ.
