OK, I'll admit it, putting a mock super nintendo controller on the can caught my eye... totally in my dork wheelhouse, add in DIPA and I am flying to vegas to marry the thing after only a quick introduction, destined for trouble you say? yeah... probably... I suppose up up down down left right left right B A is a bit long for a title (ah... Konami... in the days before the net...)
eyes...
murky lemonade with an almost orange tinge, head settles down quickly but does not exit the reservation, lacing is solid, stays murky the entire time
nose...
lemony mango, some dry cake, a dry funk that is hard to place, interesting but not captivating
taste etc...
all the notes in the nose come into play here, is that a good thing? um... has a light lemon flavor, and again to me I taste a mild cake flavor, medium body, easy to drink, nothing offensive, in fact this is pretty subdued for a DIPA, I suppose the style is applying a collar to the overall here
verdict?
non offensive, some decent bittering in the back, not enough tropical flavor to distract, an easy drinking NE DIPA, good stuff, no sense of the ABV but it is there... I can certainly report that fact...

A nice dirty Imperial Pale Ale. A health 9% ABV. that will get you where ever you want to be. Nice aroma and decent mouth feel with a hint of sour at the end. An all round great New England style Pale Ale.
