Canned 9/21/21
This is just one of those random grabs at the liquor store when me and my buddy were shopping a bit buzzed, I hardly even remember grabbing it. Pumpkin and cannoli? Doesn’t really sound like a good combination, and the ratings seem to agree, but it’ll definitely be interesting. Let’s see what it’s all about
Pours a cloudy burnt orange with 2 fingers of light tan head that fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
Hot damn, that’s a lot of spice in the nose, like a holiday candle. I’m picking up on aromas of nutmeg, earthy cinnamon, roasted squash, caramel malt, vanilla, and a touch of orange rind. Super weird combination
Oh god, where it was weird in aroma, it’s borderline offensive in taste. Like melting down that candle and drinking it. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting ground nutmeg, coriander, white pepper, light pumpkin, and caramel malt. The swallow brings notes of slightly sweeter pumpkin, oxidized hops, ground nutmeg, allspice, and ginger
A medium body pairs with moderate tingling carbonation from the spice, resulting in a beer that’s harsh up front and smooths out after the swallow. Finishes slightly sticky and sweet
Other than a decent mouthfeel this one just did not do it for me. Shebeen makes some weird beers, I gotta try a classic style from them next to see how they do with that. There was no cannoli aspect to it, some cheap caramel, and pumpkin spice

Honestly I can't rate this properly. It's just an absolute liquid spice bomb that is so over powering. Cannot enjoy. Drain pour.
