Notes via stream of consciousness: The Cranberry Yum Yum pours a hazy pinkish body beneath a short head of white foam. The head retention is limited but that's to be expected from a sour beer. In the nose I'm getting a mild note of cranberry and some light mineralish character. I wasn't sure of how this was soured at first but it smells like it was kettle soured. On to the taste... it's tart but not too tart, and certainly not puckering. I've had cranberry beers that weren't soured and they were almost as sour as this. I'm not getting any real maltiness out of it, although clearly there's something there. It just seems like a tart cranberry drink that could just as easily have been made with vodka. That's OK though, it doesn't have to be anything other than what it is. It states on the label that it's made with Marquette grapes but I'm not familiar with them. Do they taste like cranberries? There is a mild grape note to it but I wouldn't have been able to note that if it wasn't listed on the label. It's kind of one-sided, but again, that's OK because it's a refreshing, easy to drink, tart and fruity libation at 4.8% that you'll probably want to drink at one time or another. Personally I'd like to drink a can of this while on the Snow White ride at Disney World but they don't allow that. Sorry, I'm not sure where that popped out of. In the mouth it's light-medium in body and gently crisp but the acidity lends it a little bit of zing. For fans of fruited sours this is probably worth a visit but it's definitely not the most commanding one out there.
