Clear golden brew with abundant foam in the Hopleaf goblet. Pleasant malty flavor with just a touch of sweetness. The body has that malty sturdiness but lightened with the lush carbonation. The Noble hop taste with the green, leafy notes.

HIghly drinkable brew with a nice yet restrained dose of hops. Clean, clear, tangy, and spritzy mouthfeel— it's the textbook example of a modern Pilsner. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Julian dated 21172 which I call June 21, but it has aged those few months well.

16oz can served in an angular wineglass. No date that I can see, but I bought it at the brewery a week ago.

Pours clear light yellow with a big head that fades to a clumpy curtain and rocky islands. Smell is mild grain tea, a little lager yeast, a bit of lemon, mostly a grassy freshness.

Taste leans more toward the grains with an earthy bitterness, less of the grass, maybe a little bit of honey sweetness.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, not clingy but not airy. Overall, nice pilsner.

Pale, straw-yellow body; plenty of lively carbonation; thick, white head, frothy and dense. Excellent smell combination blending mild malt scents with a subdued herbal hop and freshly cut grass presence; cracker. Outstanding flavors; rich and subtle grain notes with a very quiet sweetness to offset things; hop bitterness is moderate in character and balances the cereal grain sweetness; clean. Light to moderate in body-weight; crisp; light tone with the residual sugars; soft dryness throughout.

Ah, to be able to acquire awesome beers from afar that aren't locally available. Too bad I only scored a couple of these beers. This is a pilsner that would be in regular rotation with me if it were a mainstay in Colorado. This is a beautiful beer. For a pilsner, the balance and depth are indeed top-notch. Clean and refreshing with enough presence to fully satisfy the palate.

16oz can (no date, but the code 21060) poured into 14oz teku. Poured the expected bright, clean, clear light gold color, with 3/4 inch of white head that low-moderate retention and almost no lacing.

The aroma was the typical grain, soft hop, and basic "beerness" of the style.

Pretty much the same on the tongue, with the hops coming across a bit brighter and sharper.

The body was smooth and clean, with a finish that was just on the dry side of medium.

Drinkability was good, an easy quaffer.

Overall, a nice take on the style, not a particular stand-out, but certainly your time if you see it.

A: The beer is crystal clear light straw yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a narrow collar of white bubbles around the edge fo the glass and left some lacing down the sides.
S: Moderate aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the taste is mostly dominated by flavors of grassy malts and has a light to moderate amount of associated bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and very clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is like a "lite" version of a pilsner - all of the flavor and is very easy to drink without feeling like it is watered down.

A: Clean malt with moderate floral, slightly spicy hops.

A: Light straw colored, totally clear, with a thin white head that has solid retention.

T: Clean malt flavor, followed by moderate noble hops. The beer is quite crisp and has a long, lingering hop bitterness and dry finish.

M: Light bodied, moderately high carbonation, with fairly high attenuation.

O: Pretty solid. The beer has a clean malt flavor and nice lingering bitterness. The beer’s hop aroma and flavor could be a little more accentuated, but overall a solid, sessionable German Pils.
