Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can. I think this is the right beer, its the only Kolsch on brewery website, same ABV and same tag line. But my can doesnt say candle fly anywhere.
The beer is poured into my Gaffel stange. Beer pours a bright clear golden color and has a fizzy bleached white head of 1.5 cm. This foam fades to nothing soon after the pour.
Aroma is biscuits, crackers, and white bread with a little white grape. Actually a little bit of a floral note in there too.
First sip reveals a light bodied beer and crisp texture with very fine and tingly carbonation. beer drinks very easy and quickly from my glass.
Flavor is similar to nose predictions. I get some biscuit and bread notes mixing with fruity white grape. I keep getting a bit of toasted chocolate in the background. Basically mid swallow and then it disappears and is covered by fruity grape again. Not really hoppy and certainly not boozy. A very easy drinking beer as it should be. the chocolate flavor is weird, but kinda works and is faint anyway. Nice beer from one of my favorite styles.

16oz can served in a stemless glass. Dated 21226, which I think means August 14th. Bought it a couple weeks ago at Seapine.
Pours a crystal clear light yellow with a big fizzy head that disappears in about a minute, fairly carbonated. Smell is light lager yeast, hay, a little lemon, a little floral, some grain.
Taste is leaning toward the grain and lemon, a little bit of the lager yeast. Moderate honeysuckle sweetness.
Mouthfeel is very light and clean. Overall, nice beer, but not super special.

Clear golden brew with long-lasting foam in the Blanche de Chambly goblet. Aromatic with the Euro hop note, straw, and a green leafy finish. Prickly mouthfeel but not so creamy as the German varieties. Bready flavor with resins and a touch of lemon. Just a touch of the perfumey note typical of a Kölsch.
Overall, a bit sweet and grainy but highly drinkable. Tastes like a hoppy Blonde Ale with a resiny edge. From the 16 oz can purchased at Central Market. Dated "21173" which looks like Julian date for June 22.

Served in 14oz kolsch glass. Poured a clean, clear straw yellow color, with just a thin cap of white head that had no appreciable retention or lacing.
The had solid, but gentle, grains, with some earthy and slightly floral hops.
The flavor profile was the same, just a bit better developed.
The body was crisp, clean, smooth, and had a dry finish.
Drinkability was very good, I could easily knock off several of these.
Overall, a pretty good take on the style. Maybe not upper-tier, but nicely enjoyable. Certainly worth a shot if you see it.

Found this to be a very balanced kolsch in that it isn't too watery, spicy, or off style. Has the crispness you expect without too much spice or bite when it finishes. Very enjoyable on a warm day. Was a bit sweet and not as crisp as I would like.
