Sudsy mouthfeel with a refreshing lighter body. Pleasant fruity aroma with citrus in the lead. Flavors leans toward grapefruit but not overly bitter. Some notes of papaya and a dark resint finish. This is a better than average hoppy brew in the classic style. And even better if you like the bitter citrus taste. From the 16 oz can.

16oz can in a little goblet thing. bought it at the brewery a couple weeks ago.

Pours clear bright golden yellow with a medium head leaving a thick ring. Not a lot of active carbonation. Smell is moderate earthy bitter, moderate pine, a bit more lemon. More bright citrus on subsequent sniffs.

Taste is nice west coast bitter IPA with a little honeysuckle sweetness to offset.

Mouthfeel is light and clean. This is a really nice throwback WC IPA. Haven't had many like this lately.

Orange/gold haze appearance. A tangerine/mango essence in the aroma. Slight grapefruit peel flavor & finish.

Served in shaker pint. Poured a very cloudy yellow color with 1/4 inch of white head that had low retention and lace.

The aroma had a low-to-moderate grain base, topped with pine and citrus hops.

The flavor profile was nearly identical.

The body was typical for the style; smooth, even, and with a semi-dry finish.

Drinkability was good, would have another.

Overall, a fairly average example of the style. Worth trying.

Served on tap at Etta’s in a shaker pint glass. Clear, pale gold with a short but lush head of dense white foam. Lemon citrus and fresh pine dominate the smell and flavor, with just enough pale malt body. Crisply bitter and refreshing. Medium body with moderate carbonation. A solid, drinkable West Coast IPA.

Pours a translucent straw with a finger of white foam. Aroma is spicy, herbal, citrus hops with a zing of biscuity, nutty malts. Flavor profile is bigger zing of spicy hops, mashed with herbal, floral, and citrus hops. Mouth feel is a soft crispness that becomes a little harsh on the backend. It's medium in thickness. Overall, a solid IPA, but pretty standard. Nice zing of spice.

Draft. Reviewed on phone.

12oz can style glass at Tri-Cities Tap & Barrel for $6.50. My first from Seapine.

Really nice example of a PNW IPA. Grapefruity and piney, with a nice dry zap at the finish. Good stuff!

after a couple of well made but somewhat lackluster beers from these guys, i was surprisingly impressed by the exceptional ipa. from the tap its a tall and frosty white headed straw colored brew with a low orange glow and a lot of carbonation. its a classic northwestern hop complexion, lightly malty, and really darn fresh! heavy pine and grapefruit on the nose, more pine and woodiness in the flavor with some light orange or tangerine, and a cleanness uncommon in the style. its zesty and even a little spicy on the hops, especially at the end, but bitterness is only middle of the road, its intense without being offensive or over the top, a restrained sort of robustness. so fresh too, wow, the pine sap drips from this thing, and the light cereal malt base is just right for the hops here. almost has a wet hop vegetal property, but is so tidy in the finish, refreshing and scary drinkable. easily my favorite of the handful of beers i have now had from these guys, and one of the better hoppy beers i encountered on my trip to the northwest!

Definitely a lighter IPA (and described as so by the brewery), so not quite as hop forward for true hop-lovers out there. That said, lovely color, great nose and very drinkable. Good for those who find traditional IPAs a little to bitter for their liking.
