Rum on the nose, with cherry through the mid palate and a nice dry finish.

Shared with the folks that happened to be at the De Garde tasting room. The bro running the shop said it was the last bottle. Sweet! So nicely done with subtle rum, and slightly less subtle oaky barrel notes. Just a ton of juicy dark cherries.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Nice deep red. Hazy. Nice white head. Medium white collar.
Smell - Cherry. Some rich caramel and oak. Acidic, but the oak cuts the sharpness of it.
Taste - Right up front the cherry is a deep rich cherry flavor. Cherry becomes much sharper as the beer gets more sour. Rum comes out in the back end, but it isn't all that strong. Light oaky finish.
Mouthfeel - Very close to too sour. Gets quite strong. Well carbonated and light bodied.
Overall - This is very nice. One of the most impressive Bu's I have had.
