Thanks to rudzud.

Pours light head, rosy hazy color.

Nose tart berries, tart fruity slight sour like green tree berries, earthy sour yeast thing, herbal too, typical house yeast bready thing.

Taste starts tart, with sour green tart berry flavor, weird green earthy starchy berry, very tart blueberry like, green blueberry. Little flemmy, little acidic, juicy tangy fruit. Finish is dry, more bready yeast and grainy grits like, nice bitterness and acidic bite lingering.

Mouth is med bod, nice carb, little dry fruity acidic thing.

Overall decent.

Shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice clear ruby hue with a nice finger pinkish white head that fades to leave thin wisps and light halo.

S - Aromas of loads of berry sweetness, presumably marion berries. Light lacto sourness, light tartness, green berry, biscuits.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, sour berries, Nice tartness, good berry notes, pleasant sour, lighter bread notes, faint light oak. Pleasant.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, lightly flemmy.

O - Overall this beer was pleasant, nice tartness, pleasant berry notes. Tasty.

Vibrant red body, with the lightest pink head. It appears white until you inspect it closely. The aroma is light, but earthy, fruity, and crust like. Smells like it'll be tart. The taste is an amplified version of the aroma. More berry, crust, earthy tartness. Almost tastes like an intense strawberry. Medium bodied and fruity. This is liquid blackberry pie. Very good!

Served in a brandy snifter 2/24/2015.

A- Medium pink-reddish body. Beautiful colour on these de Garde beers! Two finger white head that dies down appropriately, leaving a fairly nice lace series and a filmy collar.

S- Lactobacillus, non-descript fruit berry sweetness, wheat, oak. No funk. Smells like every other de Garde Bu I've come across.

F- Tart lemons, lactobacillus/lactate, marionberry sweetness (presumably it's marionberries; I can't say enough to distinguish this one), oak, more tartness that doesn't burn your glands.

M- Light bodied, very easy to drink despite being so tart. Very easy to drink at 4.3% ABV, it feels more like 0%.

O- Not a bad offering by de Garde. These should be easier to get than they are, because I would want quantities of them to drink outside in the summertime.

Thanks to mrbubbler for sharing this one at his tasting.

Pours a murky red with a foamy reddish-white head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour with malt, berry, earth, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with sour berry, earth, and acidic flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid berry characteristics all around.

A little more sour than most Berliners I've had. I get a strong delicious marionberry flavor. Reminds me of a nice marionberry cobbler. Could see this going well as dessert. Beautiful beer
