Super rich, bitter dark chocolate, tons of charred oak but not a ton of bourbon. Very thick. I loved trying it but I wouldn't want more than a small pour.

No. Just no. While this was pleasantly chocolatey with mild roast, there was a vegetal character, a blend of basil and green bell peppers present. On the plus side, there was a fruity, vinous character as well, mildly grape-y and intriguing, especially since this beer apparently wasn't barrel aged. The vegetal spiciness does detract on the palate as well. Alcohol is reasonably well hidden. Disappointing.
