On tap at De Garde

A- pours bright golden with a one finger foamy white head that reduces to a film

S- aroma is loaded with ripe juicy peaches. Plenty of oak on the nose imparts a hint of vanilla. Light floral notes, but predominately pure peach.

T- not as much peach as the nose, but still plenty of ripe and juicy notes up front. Mid-palate brings out oak, vanilla and some light funk. The finish gives more peach with a hint of tart funk on the linger

M- light-medium body, moderate carbonation, foamy mouthfeel and semi dry finish

Cellared 2 years. Mostly clear golden pour with a finger of white foam. Oak barrels dominate nose with must and light floral peach mixing in. Taste is actually really good: full, sour peach as only these oregon sour brews seem to be able to do, good sweetness even, barrel is rustic and rugged, but never overpowers, some basement must, cheesecloth and thin barrel funk. Feel is sour and bright but not too acidic, dries out moderately through sip. A great beer to welcome spring, lighthearted yet well made

Very rich, juicy peach character in both the aromas and flavors. As others have noted, really getting both the distinct essence of yellow peach flesh and yellow peach skin. Not too dominated by the base beer's acidity, which seems a bit toned down compared to many of De Garde's offerings.

Taster pour at de Garde. Pale golden pour, wispy head. Peaches out the wazoo, tons of stone fruit. Gentle tartness, just sweet enough, smooth. Subtle.

Tart and peachy, fuller grain backbone than many sours. Yum.

Pours a murky golden color with a slight head and lacing
Aroma has oak and peach hints
The taste follows the nose with a pleasant well balanced tart oak peach flavor
A light bodied well carbonated beer

Appearance - The beer was yellow with some orange hues to make it appear peach-like. Carbonation was visible.

Smell - There were big fresh peach notes, even capturing the scent of peach skin.

Taste - The taste matched the nose. The profile had the taste of nice fuzzy peaches. It was remarkably fresh. It was not overly acidic, and very drinkable.

Mouthfeel - Like orange juice with pulp, this beer had some girth.

Overall - I don’t enjoy many sours, but I do enjoy de Garde.
