A clear light amber with a large, off-white head with great retention and lacing. The nose has the current de Garde house character, one that i hope sticks around, with lots of earth, tannins, dried mushroom and with the port lending a delicate grape character. The palate is funky with wet hay, mushroom, earth and a moderate tannic bite. Crisp, firm finish. Excellent.
