poured from a cork and caged 750mL bottle into a SP 10-year oversized wine glass. pours a foggy orange the a huge billowing white foam head of over three fingers that cracks and fizzles away until there’s not a trace of it left. quite the combination of gin botanical, peaches and oak on the nose. i’m not really doing it any justice here but the way the peaches, funk and oak gin barrels play together is incredible. the initial aroma of gin christmas tree is met with juicy peach which gives way to an almost minty aroma but the peaches are still there. hard to describe but damn does it work. the taste almost perfectly replicates the nose. juicy peach with a strong gin and oak presence in the finish. hardly any acidity or sourness to speak of. in fact, it’s not even all that funky for de Garde standards. medium-full mouthfeel with that signature dG carb to it. i found this to be outstanding. i really enjoy gin barrel-aged saisons and wilds and this was an excellent rendition of one. well done. bravo.

Slightly hazy golden orange body. Lighter carb and low head retention. Peach skin and flesh, very light touch of gin and juniper, mild-moderate acetic tartness, a bit of botanical and floral. Medium lighter bodied, crisp carbonation, floral finish.
