Popped this bottle yesterday (rare review in under 24 hours) for the Oakland, err, L.A. err, Las Vegas Raider game. Remember beerandraiderfan (bArF)? Member barfbot? Good times.
Anyyways, here is the first review of this beer at this Next Glass website (Respect Next Glass!) that exceeds two sentences. You dig it the most. Pours a dark red color. You call it crimson. Its darker than that though. Darker than Tony Soprano's Suburban. Made a decent 2/3" light beige head. Red Solo cups in the biker hideout for the Black Hole.
The aroma had quite the grape bourbon oak funk going for it. The usual de garde like yogurt and cow pasture was thrown out for more of a wine and bourbon influence in the aroma. Its a unique smell, in the good way.
The taste was nice. Seemed like equal parts red and brown ale. A tad more acidic than your average de garde, but also a stronger abv that can bolster that aspect of the mouthfeel. Smallest residual bourbon impression leftover. Sour level in the normal range 5 on the 10 pointscale. Was like zero fruit influence to it outside of that grape sensation, ay, oh, let's go. Reminded me a little of both Bourbonic Plague and Vlad the Impaler.

Nice red color the color of cherries - beer very drinkable really enjoy drinking this brew. Good balance of flavors and solid dankness in this one. Solid.
