The nose is classic de Garde with everything you know and love. Funk, earth, lemon, a little mushroom, and a little more acid than usual, but with a little more dextrinous and tannic character to help balance the acidity. The palate opens funky with preserved lemon, earth, mineral, and a moderate lactic acidity, snappy and clean. Preserved lemon and lactic acidity grow on the mid-palate before a long, funky, mildly acidic finish. Excellent, though could use a hair less acid.
