This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a nice looking hazy dark brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light messy lacing sticking around the glass. The smell started off with a nutty spiciness allowing allowing fair cocoa and coffee to balance. The taste was sweet nutty and cocoa. Letting the coffee become the bitter part. Lingering sweet to nutty character runs in the aftertaste. There’s no finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed good for the style and for me. Bitterness is there but not overbearing. Overall, as an American Brown Ale it works. I’d have again.

16 ounce can into an English pub glass.
Pours a bit murky and looks as such in the glass. Frothy, creamy head that forms into a plateau and lingers for a solid ten minutes at least. Lace by the tons. 3.75
Nutty, caramel, bread and toast. Very pleasant and attractive. 4
Pretty damn surprised here. This got some real flavor. Toasty, nutty, caramel, floral notes and even some light coffee with cream. Develops chocolate flavors that linger. 4
Light-drinker with some sweetness, hints of yeast, and earthy grassiness. Would appreciate a bit more body and creaminess, but that's quibbling. 4
This beer was an unknown to me, but very, very good.
