On tap at The Reservoir. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a black color with a thin wisp of a white to off white head. Remnants of white to off white lace cling to the glass and eventually slide into the beer. The smell has the raspberry in front of the chocolate. Sweet yet tart. Light roasty tones of coffee bean roll in underneath. The taste takes the sweetness and tartness from the raspberries to once again be in front of the chocolate. Light raspberry aftertaste. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs nice and light. Overall, this one is a decent beer. I like the idea but the raspberry seemed a bit overpowering. Maybe again.

Poured from a howler purchased at Beverage Warehouse. This is a judge's favorite from the Make The Cut homebrew competition.
Pitch black with a thin brown head into my glass. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
Tart, wild raspberry vibe with cocoa and coffee notes.
Luscious with tart raspberry giving way to cocoa and coffee. A little acidic.
Clean cocoa finish with lingering raspberry.
A very nice example of the style. I wish there was more body.
