This special release of Golden Wheat salutes the memory of Vermont's own Josh "Allota" Pollotta. Josh served as an Infantryman ("11 Bravo") in Afghanistan but eventually lost his own battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after returning home. Our nation's Warriors are too precious a resource to lose to this invisible enemy. Thank you for your service, Josh.

just a gorgeous looking beer, pours out a glowing straw color with slight haze and a fluffy bright white head that leaves some laving behind. unsurprisingly the aroma is pretty restrained but on palate there is sweet grainy and biscuity malts are matched nicely by some herbal and grassy hops that give it a bit of green character to balance out the sweetness and create a mellow bite on the finish. this one is light bodied but there is some nice texture to it, very soft.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a soft pale yellow color with a slight transparency to it. Some light bubbles of carbonation were seen rising at a slow pace. Finger’s worth of white foamy head quickly died off leaving some concave lace. The aroma had some sweet corn and dough up front encasing some light floral to grassy hop tones. The flavor was moderately sweet through the blend of the hops to the malts and ended up creating a touch of bitterness from the floral hops. Barely there to be honest. No aftertaste but a clean crisp semi-sweet sort of finish. The palate was light bodied with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine along my tongue and the ABV felt appropriate. Overall, pretty good blonde ale that I could come back to.
