Canned on 09/11/18.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a golden yellow color with a light haze to it. A small cap of white foamy head sat atop and slid off appropriately. Some concave lace slid with the sips.
The aroma had some candied lemon juiciness, sweet grass, wet tree bark, stuffy pine and a light touch of paper.
The flavor dryly brought the prior mentioned aromas together semi-sweetly initially but ended up having a fairly long bitter aftertaste of candied lemon and stuffy pine.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate dryness walks over my tongue. Carbonation and ABV felt appropriate. Long dry and bitter finish.
Overall, honestly, I felt like it had a ton of potential but didn't seem to fully coincide the way I had hoped for. It's not a bad beer and I could see myself coming back to if offered.
