On tap at 14th Star and was poured into a proper weizen glass.
The appearance was a nice hazy/cloudy burnt orange color with a finger's worth of white foamy head sliding off fairly quick. Some messy lace.
The aroma had a pretty nice blend of the normal hefeweizen automatics - the sweet banana, then spicy clove and rounded out with some bubblegum.
The flavor brought the clove to the banana and bubblegum, what a nice meshing of sweet to spicy character. Mostly the banana and clove rides into the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied but sat just a touch under. Nice carbonation and ABV felt appropriate. Really nice banana to clove to bubblegum finish.
Overall, a very well done hefeweizen well worthy of having again. And it also goes towards a worthy cause.
