Poured from the 32 oz growler filled yesterday at the brewery in Temecula. Faint chill haze on the golden brew. Plenty of white foam in the Maredsous goblet. Sprightly mouthfeel. interesting funky aroma with a whiff of green vegetables. Light body.
Flavor is quite yeasty and then hoppy. A little sweet and sharp with a mineral touch. Citrus peel finally takes the stage. Aftertaste is bitter with both hops and the yeast. I think this could have been a little more subtle, but it's the sort of thing I like-- single hop Saisons!
