Color is golden orange with an enthusiastic head in the Crooked Line tulip. Light meaty and flowery aroma. Fairly sharp mouthfeel with lots of spritz.
Slightly sweet to start. What is this flavor? Apricot, yam peels, and sugar cookies. Moderately bitter with lime peel flavors. Some overcooked artichoke. Dry and mineral finish. Dark toast and pineapple aftertaste.
Quite sippable but not one to gulp. This tastes more like a standard IPA than any IPL I've tasted, though it's quite prickly like a monstrous Lager. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at the brewery taproom in Temecula.

Pours a hazy light orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. A foamy curtain of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and slight tropical fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, slight tropical fruit, earth, and pine hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a citrus forward hop smell, but the flavors are more on the earthy side of the hop spectrum.
